Led by Phyllis Chen and Elizabeth Margit Distefano, the UnCaged Toychestra is a toy instrument ensemble performing arrangements and original works. In its inaugural year, UnCaged Toychestra will comprise of UnCaged artists, community members and SUNY New Paltz students/alums. Rehearsals will be in New Paltz on Sundays, Sept 20, Sept 27, Oct 4, Oct 11 from 3-5pm.
We will have a special guest facilitating our rehearsal on September 27th! Elijah Thomas, music director of NYC’s famed street-band crew HONK! NYC and co-artistic director of Artist For A Free World, will lead our Toychestra rehearsal that day!
