We start off this 9th season of UnCaged with an all-inclusive performance of Terry Riley’s iconic work In C. For a typical uncagean twist, In C will be performed entirely on toy instruments! In C is a minimalist masterpiece composed by Riley in 1964 for an indefinite number of performers which uses a mosaic of short melodic fragments.
Do you have a toy instrument you plan to bring and play? Please do! Do you want to come and have an interesting toy instrument handed to you to play? That also works! We are looking for participants to join us in this all-toy version of In C. The more the merrier!
Please note that all participants are asked to come one hour before show time (7PM) to set up and rehearse. We hope you can join us!
